Apple iPhone 13 models expected to be launched later this year would “likely” feature a fingerprint scanner embedded under the display for authentication, in addition to Face ID.

iPhone 13: The iPhone maker company is constantly innovating for the convenience and safety of Apple users. The same, if any old feature users are liked more, then the company does not refrain from giving it. This is the reason that the Touch ID i.e. in-display fingerprint sensor is coming back in iPhone 13 again. This feature is quite popular in Android smartphones. Leaked reports claimed that all mobiles in the iPhone 13 series will be given an in-display fingerprint scanner. This will provide users with double-layer protection. Also, there will be a facility to lock and unlock iPhone.

New biometric sensor in iPhone 13

Apple is testing its new biometric system, which indicates that the Touch ID system of the upcoming iPhone may be somewhat different from Android, which will be seen in the upcoming smartphones. Explain that till now, Face ID was reserved in premium smartphones. But now Apple will be providing Touch ID with Face ID on the iPhone. Also, as usual in the upcoming series of iPhones, some other tubes can be seen. Reports suggest that the iPhone 13, as well as the iPhone 12s, can be launched. All upcoming iPhones will now see a smaller notch display. In such a situation, users will have to wait for the under the display.

    Apple iPhone 13 Expected Variants

According to an online report, Apple will launch the iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max in September 2021 under the iPhone 13 series. Talking about the feature, the iPhone 13 Mini will have a 5.4-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 6.1-inch display in the iPhone 13. At the same time, users will get a 6.1-inch OLED display in the iPhone 13 Pro and a 6.7-inch OLED display in the 13 Pro Max. Both these screens will be of 120Hz refresh rate.

    iPhone 13

In addition, the iPhone 13 lineup will also feature a smaller notch. The notch has been consistent on iPhones ever since Apple launched the iPhone X in 2017. But Kuo says Apple will likely give up on the notch and introduce the iPhone 14 with a hole-punch display. To get rid of the notch, Apple could redesign the iPhone to accommodate a full-screen display. Though the question remains how will Apple include the Face ID components and other sensors in a punch-hole camera. Experts predict the whole process would be too complex and expensive.

New iPhone SE expected in 2022

Kuo also suggested that Apple has no plans to launch a new iPhone SE model this year. Instead, the tech giant is believed to introduce the updated iPhone SE with an improved processor and 5G. However, the new iPhone SE model might include Face ID and edge-to-edge display, like the iPhone XR. It is still said to include a 4.7-inch screen and old fashioned iPhone 8-like design.

Foldable iPhone set to debut in 2023

Top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple has plans to launch a foldable iPhone by 2023, and the phone could feature a screen of around 7.5-inch to 8 inches. Kuo believes the foldable iPhone might resemble that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, though Apple has not officially locked the design. Kuo’s prediction indicates Apple isn’t necessarily in a hurry to launch a foldable iPhone as its competitors. The foldable smartphone form factor is all rage these days, and brands like Samsung, Huawei and Motorola have already launched foldable devices in the market. That being said, the foldable form factor is still unproven due to the durability of displays and the high cost of manufacturing.
