    Google Pixel phones added an automatic emergency video recording feature

    Did you know that Google’s personal safety app has a new emergency video recording feature add-on that is available for Pixel Android phones? Safety check-in that helps you notify your emergency contacts automatically if you don’t respond.

    Google has added a new emergency video recording feature to its Personal Safety app, which is available exclusively for Pixel Android phones. The app already had several features, including a safety check-in feature that helps you notify your emergency contacts automatically if you don’t respond. This feature can automatically dial 911 if it detects that you have been in a car accident.

    Automatic emergency video recording feature in Google Pixel phones

    Now, online blogging websites have spotted a new feature in the personal safety app that can automatically record video when users activate the built-in emergency SOS. This feature can be found in the Settings app of the Personal Safety app on Google Pixel phones. To activate Emergency SOS, you have to press the phone’s power button five times.

    According to an online report, the feature informs users that it is capable of recording up to 45 minutes of the video once activated. It is important to note that your phone must have enough storage for the feature to function. The video will then be automatically backed up to your Google Account, provided there is an Internet connection, where it will be stored for seven days.

    If you want to send a link to that video file to any emergency contact you choose, you can do so using the app. When this feature is activated, users will still be able to use their phone with a minimized viewfinder and notification icon to indicate that recording is taking place.

    Additionally, the SOS can perform other tasks depending on your settings, including calling 911, choosing to play (or not play) an alarm sound, and sharing information with your emergency contacts.
