Flipkart has recently announced its launch of the streaming device “MarQ TurboStream Stick”. India’s TV streaming consumer electronics market is fairly swarming with leading players like Amazon Fire TV stick and Google Chromecast. Recently we have also seen DTH operator Airtel has launched Airtel Xstream stick, Dish TV has announced Dish SMRT Kit and now Flipkart has joined the race with Marq TurboStream stick powered by Android 9.0. Currently, the device is available at Rs 3,499. Flipkart’s own TV streaming dongle will compete directly with Amazon’s Fire TV Stick which is retailing for Rs 3,999 in the Indian market through Amazon website and offline retail store.

This streaming device is listed on Flipkart at a special, discounted price of Rs 3,499. Some of the available bank offers include 5 percent cashback on Flipkart Axis Bank credit card and 10 percent discount with Axis Bank Buzz credit card. No-cost EMI plans start at Rs 292 per month. Flipkart will start shipping the Turbostream media streaming device by November 11.
Some of the main highlights of Flipkart MarQ Turbostream, it claims to provide users with access to more than 10,000 apps and games with Android TV Play Store for free. It runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It also delivers built-in support for Chromecast. As mentioned, it is powered by Google Assistant so that you can control your TV with voice commands. It has dual-band Wi-Fi support means it can also work with low-speed internet.
The device also has Netflix, YouTube, Hotstar and other popular OTT apps which is pre-installed with this. The voice-enabled remote has dedicated quick launch keys to YouTube and Netflix. The device supports other online streaming platforms like Hotstar, Hungama Play, Voot, ALTBalaji, ZEE5, Eros Now, Sony LIV, Spotify, among others.
The company has mentioned, MarQ TurboStream Stick offers Full HD resolution at 60fps with 8GB internal storage space and 1GB of DDR3 RAM. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Chromecast. It also includes Dolby Digital Audio and Google Assistant support. The remote of Flipkart MarQ TurboStream Stick has a dedicated voice assistant, Netflix button to do quick navigation for the apps like voice search and one-click access to Netflix.
