Airtel joins the list of broadband operators who’re providing 1 Gbps speeds in the country like ACT Fibernet, Spectra, and JioFiber

Bharti Airtel has now introduced a high-speed 1 Gbps broadband plan in all the cities where it has operations across the country. Bharti Airtel’s 1 Gbps broadband plan is priced at Rs 3,999 per month and it’s the premium offering from the company right now.

Earlier, Bharti Airtel was offering maximum speeds of 300 Mbps in select cities, but now, it has upgraded the offering to 1 Gbps in all the cities. Bharti Airtel is calling the new 1 Gbps plan as Airtel V-Fiber Ultra plan and the best part is the Unlimited Data offer. However, we don’t know yet whether the plan caps data at 3.3TB per month or is it truly an unlimited offering from the company. Being a premium plan in the portfolio, the Airtel V-Fiber Ultra-broadband plan also ships with Airtel Thanks benefits including three months of free Netflix, one year of free Amazon Prime, monthly ZEE5 subscription and Airtel Xstream app subscription.

Airtel 1 Gbps Broadband Plan Details and Benefits

As mentioned above, Airtel joins the list of broadband operators who’re providing 1 Gbps speeds in the country. ACT Fibernet was the first in the industry to bring Giga speeds to the country, followed by other ISPs like Spectra, Netplus, JioFiber, and now, Airtel joins the list. It has been a long way coming as the company is providing speeds of 100 Mbps in a majority of the circles; In a few circles, Airtel has a 300 Mbps broadband plan that’s priced at Rs 1,599. So now, users looking for an Airtel broadband connection can avail the 1 Gbps plan and it’s priced pretty well at Rs 3,999.

The Airtel V-Fiber Ultra-broadband plan offers up to 1 Gbps speeds and unlimited data per month. Airtel also has an unlimited broadband plan of 100 Mbps priced at Rs 1,999, but it caps the data at 3.3TB every month. We’re expecting the same with the newly launched 1 Gbps plan from the company as it’s providing extra 1000GB data for new users.

So up to 1 Gbps speeds and 3.3TB every month for Rs 3,999 is not a bad deal at all. The extra data of 1000GB will be valid for a period of six months.

Additionally, the Airtel V-Fiber Ultra plan is part of Airtel Thanks program, so you get all the OTT service subscriptions for free. Customers choosing this new plan from Airtel will receive one-year of free Amazon Prime subscription worth Rs 999, three months of free Netflix Basic plan worth Rs 1,500, monthly ZEE5 Premium subscription worth Rs 99 and Airtel Xstream app subscription free for one year. Overall, it’s a good plan from Bharti Airtel for heavy data and high-speed internet seekers.

What Are Other ISPs Charging for 1 Gbps Broadband Plans?

Notably, ACT Fibernet is providing 1 Gbps broadband plans in three cities- Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru. In Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the 1 Gbps plan from ACT Fibernet costs Rs 5,999 and it has a monthly FUP of 2.5TB. In Chennai, the plan costs just Rs 2,999 with 3TB of the FUP limit per month.

On the flip side, JioFiber 1 Gbps broadband plans are available at two prices- Rs 3,999 and Rs 8,499. The Rs 3,999 Platinum JioFiber broadband plan ships with 2.5TB data limit per month, while the Rs 8,499 plan offers 5TB data every month. There’s no data carry forward functionality available on JioFiber plans. Spectra is providing the cheapest 1 Gbps broadband plans in the industry at Rs 1,599 with varying FUP limits across cities.
