Apple recently announced that it has acquired classical music streaming service Primephonic, and will be folding it into Apple Music.

Having said this Primephonic, a classical music streaming service has been recently acquired by Apple. However, the amount of acquisition of Music App has not been disclosed by the company. According to Apple, Apple Music subscribers will get a great music experience by purchasing the Primephonic Music app. The company said that they have great respect for classical music and Primephonic.
What will be special in Apple’s new Music app
In the new app of Apple Music, customers will be given a separate section of Classical Music, which will feel the best of Classical Music experience across the world. Let us know that Primephonic will not be available for new customers for a long time. It will go offline from next 7th September. Apple Music is working on plans to launch a new separate classical app. Which the company can launch by next year. In this, Primephonic Classical User Interface will be given, from where it will be easy to access classical music.
Primephonic will go offline on September 7, with subscribers being offered six months of free use of Apple Music, according to the companies. “We love and have a deep respect for classical music, and Primephonic has become a fan favorite for classical enthusiasts,” said Apple Music vice president Oliver Schusser.
“Together, we’re bringing great new classical features to Apple Music, and in the near future, we’ll deliver a dedicated classical experience that will truly be the best in the world.”
Apple Music will weave Primephonic technology into a dedicated classical music app it plans to launch next year, according to the companies. “Bringing the best of Primephonic to Apple Music subscribers is a tremendous development for the classical music industry,” Primephonic co-founder and chief executive Thomas Steffens said in a joint release.
“We get to bring classical music to the mainstream and connect a new generation of musicians with the next generation of audience.”
The acquisition comes as the Silicon Valley based technology giant defends its control of the App Store that acts as the sole gateway for digital content onto its iPhone handsets and other devices.
Get a free subscription to Apple Music
If you are a Primephonic subscriber, then you need not panic. Existing subscribers of Primephonic will be given 6 months of free subscription to Apple Music from Apple. It will have access to thousands of classical albums. This will not cause any problem to the old customers of Primephonic. It will feature hundreds of classical albums in high-resolution audio as well as Apple Music’s Spatial Audio.
