The company has revealed the name of this affordable smartphone through the e-commerce website Amazon India. Earlier this smartphone was expected to launch in the name of OnePlus 8 Lite and OnePlusZ. The company has not yet disclosed the launch date of this smartphone. There are speculations that this smartphone can launch in the second week of July.
OnePlus has also shared a video link with the disclosure of the name of this smartphone showing the company’s 6-year-old journey. 100 units of OnePlus Nord will available for order from 1 July. The company has given this information through its Instagram channel. OnePlus Nord will compete directly with Realme X50 Pro in India.
Expected Features
Talking about the possible features of OnePlus Nord, it can be launched with a 6.55-inch display. The smartphone can come with a dual selfie camera. In a leak, a single punch-hole camera and 6.4-inch screen can be used on its front. This smartphone can also launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor or MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G.
The quad rear camera set-up can available in the back of the phone, whose primary sensor can be given 48MP along with a 32MP + 8MP dual camera in the front of the phone. The company can launch this smartphone in the upper mid-range. The phone can be launched in two storage options 6GB / 8GB RAM + 128GB. However, no information is available or released from the company side.
On Tuesday, OnePlus also released a press statement that said the new product “addresses feedback” from the company’s community of users and incorporates its “flagship-level product and user experience standards.” This suggests that the OnePlus Nord would have some similarities with the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
The OnePlus Nord will initially be exclusive to India and Europe. However, in the official statement of OnePlus does mention that a select number of users in the US would also get a chance to experience the new model through a highly limited beta program after launch.
