    BSNL Wings: There is a craze for Wi-Fi calling in India right now. All telecom operators are moving fast towards this, with Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio offering VoWi-Fi or Voice over Wi-Fi to their customers. Using this technology, customers can make calls over a Wi-Fi network instead of an LTE network or a normal mobile network.

    In the normal scenario, calls made by customers are routed over the LTE network, and on 4G networks, these calls are made over the Internet as opposed to 2G. The procedure for making these calls is called VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol).

    However, another service is also available by the state-led telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), which is very close to the VoWi-Fi service offered by other telecom operators, and the service is called BSNL Wings Service. Used to be. Using the BSNL Wing service, BSNL customers will be able to make calls over the Internet similar to VoWi-Fi. However, there are some differences between the BSNL Wing service and other VoWi-Fi services available in the market right now.

    The point to note here is that the underlying technology introduced by other telecom operators between both BSNL Wing and VoWi-Fi is the same, which means that calls made by these two services will only be VoIP calls that are connected to the internet network. Are made on But, the difference is when we see how the call is made on the device.

    To use the BSNL Wing service, customers of BSNL Wing have to install an application called the “BSNL Wing” app. This soft app can be installed on any device, mobile phone, laptop, PC or tablet. Using this application, subscribers will be able to access their address book, view their contacts and eventually make calls over the Wi-Fi network. However, this app will require proper login details which will be provided to the customers upon registering for the service.

    It is to be noted that Rs 1,099 is the annual fare of BSNL Wing service and for ISD calls, customers will have to deposit an additional Rs 2,000 before they can start using BSNL Wing services. BSNL Wings get 1,800 free minutes every month for calling subscribers and after that, they will be charged 30 paise per minute. One of the best advantages of BSNL Wings is that BSNL Wings customers get free international roaming anywhere around the world, which is something that other customers have to offer.

    Additionally, in BSNL Wings, international calls cost Rs 1.2 per minute. There are also exemptions in some cases of the annual rental of BSNL Wing. For example, government employees and existing BSNL BBoWi-Fi users will only have to pay Rs 599 as a deposit.
