The Motorola Edge 70 Max launched in India as the newest addition to the company’s premium Edge lineup. Designed for users who want flagship performance without compromising on battery life, the smartphone combines a large-capacity battery, a high-end display, and Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor.

Motorola has also focused on durability and software longevity, offering multiple years of Android updates alongside a slim design that houses one of the biggest batteries in its segment.

Motorola Edge 70 Max Price in India

The smartphone is available in two storage configurations.

    VariantPrice
    8GB + 256GB₹54,999
    12GB + 256GB₹59,999

Motorola is also offering an instant bank discount of ₹5,000 on both variants during the introductory sale period.

    Large Battery Meets Fast Charging

A key highlight of the new device is its 7,100mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries available in a premium smartphone.

Motorola claims the battery can deliver up to 58 hours of regular usage on a single charge. When it’s time to recharge, the device supports fast wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wired charging for powering compatible accessories.

Despite the large battery, Motorola has managed to keep the handset relatively slim, measuring around 8mm in thickness.

144Hz AMOLED Display With High Brightness

The Motorola Edge 70 Max features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution and a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate.

One of its standout specifications is the claimed 7,000 nits peak brightness, designed to improve outdoor visibility even under direct sunlight.

    The display also includes:

    • Water Touch support for wet-finger operation
    • High pixel density for sharper visuals
    • Enhanced scratch-resistant protection
    • Wide colour gamut for improved multimedia viewing

The adaptive refresh rate automatically adjusts based on the content displayed, helping balance smooth performance with battery efficiency.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Powers the Device

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The chipset is designed to handle demanding tasks such as gaming, multitasking, AI features, and high-resolution video editing.

To keep temperatures under control, Motorola has equipped the phone with a 5,500mm² vapour chamber cooling system, helping maintain performance during extended gaming sessions and heavy workloads.

The device runs Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI and includes:

    • Three major Android OS upgrades
    • Five years of security updates

    Camera and Durability Features

Photography is handled by a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization.

The rear camera system also includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera, which doubles as a macro shooter for close-up photography.

For selfies and video calls, the front camera supports 4K video recording at 60fps.

The smartphone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust and water. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi support, and the latest 5G connectivity.

Motorola Strengthens Its Premium Smartphone Portfolio

With the Edge 70 Max, Motorola is targeting buyers looking for long battery life without giving up flagship-level hardware.

The combination of a premium display, powerful chipset, advanced cooling system, and long software support makes the device a strong contender in India’s premium smartphone segment.

Its aggressive pricing also places it in direct competition with several flagship Android smartphones in the ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 price range.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max brings together premium hardware, a large 7,100mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance, and a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display in a single package. Combined with long-term software support and durable build quality, the smartphone is positioned as an attractive option for users looking for flagship features and extended battery life.
