This is an upgrade of the Galaxy Buds + which was launched last year. The Galaxy Buds 2 feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Price
The price of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 has been kept at $ 149.99 (about Rs 11,100). The earbuds come in four different color options – Graphite, Lavender, Olive and White – and are available for purchase in select markets starting August 27. Details about the India price and launch date for the Galaxy Buds 2 are yet to be announced.
The original Samsung Galaxy Buds were launched in the US for $129 (approximately Rs 9,600) and in India for Rs 9,990. The Galaxy Buds+, on the other hand, arrived in the US for $149.99 (roughly Rs.11,100) and was launched in India for Rs.11,990.
Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 comes in a two-way driver configuration that includes a tweeter and a woofer. The earbuds have three microphones – two of which will be used for ANC. Samsung has also introduced AKG-tuned audio.
The design of the earbuds is quite different from the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds+ and the bundled case reminds us of the Galaxy Buds Live. There is also IPX7 certification for splash and water resistance.
Samsung has provided Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity on the Galaxy Buds 2. The earbuds also have six different equalizer settings that you can set with your connected phone.
The Galaxy Buds 2 are claimed to deliver up to 29 hours of battery life – including the battery in the charging case – with the earbuds offering up to 7.5 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. However, when using ANC, the battery life will drop to 20 hours. Each earpiece of the Galaxy Buds 2 packs a 61mAh battery and the case houses a 472mAh battery. Users will also get an hour of listening from the earbuds in just five minutes of charging. In addition, there is Qi wireless charging support.
Sensors on the Galaxy Buds 2 include accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, hall sensor, touch sensor and voice pickup unit (VPU). Each Galaxy Buds 2 measures 17×20.9×21.1mm and weighs five grams. The dimensions of the charging case are 50×27.8×50.2mm and weight is 41.2 grams.
