BSNL has again made a consumer-centric by revising some of its major prepaid vouchers, special tariff vouchers and first-time recharge vouchers

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been following on the path of “consumer-centric moves” since the second half of last year to lure more subscribers. The telecom operator has been facing the wrath of weak financials, and the only avenue from where the telco can seek help from is the addition of new subscribers. To do that, BSNL has been revising its prepaid vouchers, special tariff vouchers (STVs), and introducing new prepaid plans. There are also many offers in the market right now which are applicable on BSNL prepaid, and they ship attractive benefits to the subscribers. Now, in a new move, BSNL has made some major revisions to some of the popular prepaid plans out there and these include the Rs 186 prepaid plan, Rs 187 STV and more. Check out the revision details of these new plans.

BSNL Beats Private Telcos Yet Again by Revising Rs 187 Prepaid STV, Now Offers 3GB Daily Data

Revision of Rs 186 Prepaid Voucher and Rs 187 STV

The first major update that we are talking about has happened to the Rs 186 prepaid plan which had recently made a comeback to the BSNL prepaid portfolio. A while back BSNL had withdrawn the Rs 186 PV, and then the telco had introduced the plan a while back. But, now this plan has undergone revision. Previously, this plan was offering 2GB data per day with an after-FUP speed of 40 Kbps. However, after the revision, the plan is now offering 3GB data per day with the same after FUP speed. The other benefits remain the same, which include free 250 minutes per day calling to any network and 100 SMS per day. The validity of this plan remains 28 days only.

The other similar plan which resembles the Rs 186 prepaid voucher is the Rs 187 STV. The STV 187 has been given similar changes under this new revision. The voucher used to offer 2GB data per day to the users, but now after the revision, the plan offers 3GB data per day similar to the above-mentioned plan with an after FUP speed of 40 Kbps. Other benefits in this plan include 250 minutes per day unlimited calls to any network and 100 SMS per day. The validity of this plan also remains 28 days only.

    Other Rationalised Prepaid Vouchers

There is also the Rs 153 prepaid voucher in this revision list. While the plan previously used to offer free bundled top-up of Rs 100 with Rs 103 talk value with PRBT for 28 days, now it offers 1.5GB daily data, with unlimited calling benefits to any network with 100 SMS per day for the same validity of 28 days. The after-FUP speed of this plan is 40 Kbps. It is crucial to note that BSNL is not putting any daily calling cap on this plan,

    STVs Undergoing Revision

There are also other STVs including the Rs 192 and Rs 118 STVs which have also been rationalised. The Rs 192 STV now offers 3GB data per day instead of 2GB data per day with 250 minutes daily calling to any network, 100 SMS per day and free PRBT along with one national Discount deal or coupon daily. Similarly, the Rs 118 STV will offer 0.5GB data per day with 40 Kbps after-FUP speed and 250 minutes daily calling with 28 days validity.

Lastly, there is the first time recharges from BSNL, which have also been changed a little. These include the Rs 106 FRC which now offers 1GB data per day for 24 days validity and the Rs 107 FRC which also offers the same 1GB daily data benefit. This FRC also offers 24 days of validity. BSNL has also noted that the with PV186/153 will be available for a new connection, validity extension and migration i.e. on every recharge of the PV, whereas, the FRC 106 and FRC 107 is for New connection only with freebies, subsequent recharge for validity extension or migration by PV74 or PV 75.
