MIUI 12 update has been released for the great smartphone Redmi 7a. Earlier the update for Redmi Note 6 Pro was released. Talking about this update, users will get a December security patch in it.
Tech company Xiaomi has released the latest MIUI 12 update for its popular smartphone Redmi 7a. The device’s interface has been redesigned in this update. Along with this, users will get a December security patch in it. Having said this, the company had earlier released MIUI 12 update for Redmi Note 6 Pro.
Users of the Redmi 7A phone have taken to Twitter to confirm that the MIUI 12 has started rolling out for their devices in India. The firmware version number for the latest update is MIUI 12 V12.0.1.0.QCMINXM and its update size based on the screenshot is 547MB. The update may be rolling out in a phased manner and it could be a while before all users get it. It is best to check for the update in Settings if you don’t receive a notification soon.
The changelog as seen in the screenshots suggests that the latest MIUI 12 update for the Redmi 7A brings along the December 2020 Android security patch. It also optimises animations in selected scenes and full screen gestures on the lock screen alarm page will be ignored after the update. Swiping down from the upper left corner will open notifications shade and swiping down from the upper right corner will open control center. The update will close the control center when an incoming call arrives and the landscape mode layout for control center has also been optimised.

If you have not received the notification of the update, then you can go to the phone settings to download it manually.

Redmi 7a Price
The Redmi 7a smartphone will be available in 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variants, priced at Rs 4,999 and Rs 5,299 respectively. This smartphone can be purchased in matte black, blue and gold color options.

Earlier in 2018, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A smartphone. The initial price of this phone is Rs 3,799. Redmi 6A has a 5.45 inch HD Plus display, whose pixel resolution is 720×1440. This phone works on Android 8.1 Oreo. This phone is equipped with a quad-core 12 nm MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and 2 GB RAM.
Also, it has 16 GB of internal memory which can be extended up to 256 GB MicroSD card. The phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera for photography. It is equipped with features like F / 2.2 aperture and PDF. At the same time, a 5-megapixel front facing camera with F / 2.2 aperture and portrait mode has been given.
