    Jio Postpaid Plus Plans Require Security Deposit of up to Rs 1200: Know More

    Jio’s terms and conditions note that Jio’s Rs 399, Rs 599, Rs 799, and Rs 999 PostPaid Plus plans require a security deposit of Rs 500, Rs 750, Rs 1000 and Rs 1200 respectively.

    Reliance Jio recently announced a new postpaid plus service. Its initial recharge plan comes from Rs 399 to Rs 1,499. On these plans, subscribers are offered unlimited talk-time benefits, family add on SIM facility with data rollover.

    However, An online report quoted the TRAI website as stating that for the Jio Postpaid Plus service, subscribers have to pay a security deposit on all plans. In such a situation, a security deposit of Rs 1,800 will have to be paid on the Jio Postpaid Plus plan of Rs 1,499. At the same time, subscribers will have to pay a security deposit of Rs 500 on basic postpaid plus monthly service of Rs 399. Apart from this, a security deposit of Rs 750 will be given on the postpaid plus plan of Rs 599, Rs 1,000 on the postpaid plan of Rs 799, and Rs 1,200 on Rs 999 plan.

    At the same time, Jio’s most premium postpaid plus-plan of Rs 1,499 will have to pay a security deposit of Rs 1,800.

    Users must note that there is no security deposit required to migrate to Jio PostPaid-Plus plans from regular plans. Regular Jio Customers can upgrade to Jio Postpaid Plus plans by calling on 1800 88 99 88 99, visiting nearby Jio stores or Jio’s website. The JioPostPaid-Plus SIM card comes at a refundable deposit of Rs 100. There is also an option of home-delivery for the SIM cards. Users can exceed the credit limit of their current operator by sending a HI to 88-501–88-501 on WhatsApp.

    Users opting to exit from the plan within the six months will be charged Rs 1499 plus applicable taxes, as per the terms and conditions. In case a subscriber breaks the contract before the 6-month subscription period, he would face disconnection as well as barring of the account due to violation of its commercial usage policy, misuse, non-retail and fraudulent usage.

    International Roaming Option in Reliance Jio Postpaid Plus Plan

    5 postpaid plans were introduced by Jio last month. These plans come with in-flight connectivity packs and international roaming options. The new regulatory filing of TRAI states that a security deposit will be required for all monthly subscription plans of Trai Jio Postpaid Plus. However, the security deposit has not been disclosed on the Jio website.

    Offering Limited Data and Incoming Call

    According to the report recorded on the TRAI website, FUP has been included in the US and UAE region on the use of data and voice. Whereas Jio announced unlimited data and voice calling in these regions. 5GB high-speed data and 500 minutes of incoming calling outgoing and a callback to India will be offered to Jio Postpaid Plus plan subscribers in the US on TRAI’s website. In the same UAE, these users will be provided 1GB high-speed data and 300 minutes of incoming, outgoing, and callback to India facilities.
