Xiaomi Mi TV Stick will be launched on August 5. The company gave information by posting a teaser on social media. The Mi TV Stick was first launched in India at around Rs 3500 in Europe. But in India, it can be offered for less than 3500 rupees. With the help of Mi TV Stick, users will be able to make normal TV smart. According to the company, by connecting the Mi TV Stick to the TV, users will be able to enjoy OTT content like Amazon Prime Video, Disney + Hotstar, and Netflix directly on their normal TV.
Full HD streaming will be accessible with Mi Tv Stick. Before that, Xiaomi vs Mi Box 4K was introduced in India earlier this year. Mi TV Stick will have a direct competition with Amazon Fire TV Stick in India.
Xiaomi Mi TV Stick specifications
Remote support has been provided with the Mi TV Stick. This remote can be run with voice control support through Google Assistant. Apart from this, Chromecast has been supported in the device. This device comes with a second full HD (1920/1080) resolution at 60 frames. The device will be based on Android TV 9 Pie. The device will have Android TV available, which can be downloaded from the Google Play store. Users will be able to download and install it.
On this platform, popular streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime will be able to download games as well as games and social media services. Mi Box 4k was launched in May this year. Xiaomi Mi Stick can be directly connected to the TV with the help of an HDMI port. Its remote will be like Mi Box 4K. A separate button is provided for Netflix and Amazon Prime on the remote itself. Non-smart HDMI TV will be able to connect smart functions with the help of a device.
Xiaomi Mi TV Stick: Expected Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is priced at EUR 39.99 (roughly Rs 3,500) in the European market. However, it is expected that Mi TV Stick will be priced lower in the Indian market as the earlier offering by Xiaomi, which is Mi Box 4K is priced at Rs 3,499. As of availability, Mi TV Stick will be launched on August 5, 2020.
